Giving Trees

Our Christmas collection is dedicated in loving memory of Kathy Massimino, the founder of Ascension's Reach Out program.

This year's Christmas Giving Program, for the benefit of our friends served by St. Vincent's and Alphonsus Rock Parishes is growing!

Our "Giving Trees" will be set up in the back of the main church starting Saturday, Nov. 23 for two weekends. Please take an ornament, purchase the indicated gift(s) and drop them off at tone of the Penske rental trucks outside the multipurpose room after the 5pm Mass on Dec. 7 or any time before noon on Dec. 8. Volunteers will be outside the main church before/after the 5:30pm Mass to receive any gifts for delivery Monday.

Please follow these instructions:

  • Each of the ornament gift labels has a family number assigned by their parish. These numbers are essential. Please photograph the ornament with your phone in case of loss.
  • Securely tape the ornament to the outside of your gift so it is visible. Bundle multiple bags together.
  • Do not wrap your gift. Please include wrapping paper and gift bags.
  • If you were unable to get an ornament off our Giving Trees, you can purchase a gift of your choice. Especially needed gifts are for teenagers, gift cards and or new household items such as cleaning supplies, light bulbs, etc.

We will also have "Group Giving Stocking Ornaments" in one area of the vestibule for those parishioners or groups that would like to adopt an entire family of 8 or more people.

Finally, please take the opportunity to volunteer at St. Vincent's and/or St. Alphonsus Rock as they prepare for their holiday events.

We will not be collecting used clothing and household items in December so please save these for our January collection.Meal A Month food is always welcome and needed. Click here for more info on Meal A Month.
