We are excited to announce a NEW way to give to Ascension Church using credit/debit card, Paypal, Venmo, Apple Pay, or Google Pay! *PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to pay via Venmo, ApplePay, or GooglePay, you will need to access the above link from a mobile phone or other device that is authorized to use those apps.

Givebutter is a safe and secure tool that allows us to collect one-time or recurring gifts via serveral apps and payment types. We are a verified nonprofit so you will continue to get end of the the year giving receipts for tax purposes for anything you donate via Givebutter.

All you have to do is go to OR use your cellphone to text the word ASCENSION to (202) 858-1233 OR use your smartphone camera to scan the QR code below. Please note: if you want to give via Apple Pay/Google Pay or Venmo, you will need to access the link through your smartphone or other device, not on a computer.

Once you go to our donate page, this is what you will see:

You can choose a suggested amount or type in your own. Next, click “Continue.”

On this screen you will see your donation amount plus the credit card processing fee. There is an option if you would like to cover the processing fee in order to make sure your entire donation goes directly to our parish. If you do not want to cover the fee, click “edit,” and you can choose not to cover it.

Also, you have the option to add a tip to support Givebutter. They do not charge Ascension any platform fees, so this tip helps support their operating costs and allows them to continue to not charge us any platform fees. You can choose a suggested tip amount or click “other,” and type in a different amount or type in 0 to not leave a tip.

Finally, choose your method of payment and complete your donation. You will receive an end of the year report showing your tax-exempt donations given through Givebutter.

We are grateful to you for giving to our parish, especially during these uncertain times. THANK YOU for your support! For any technical help or questions, email [email protected]
